These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bit Alchemist application (“the app”) and the bitalchemist.app website (“the site”), provided by the makers of Bit Alchemist (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app or site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or site.
License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own lawful purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license does not transfer any ownership of the app to you.
Things you agree not to do
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app, except as the law permits.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly allows.
- Use the app or site to break any law, or in a way that disrupts or attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems or others' systems.
Correctness & intended use
Bit Alchemist is a calculator and developer tool. We have built and tested it carefully — the calculation core is verified against an independent reference across all word sizes and both signedness modes — and we strive for exact, fully-specified results. However, the app is provided as a utility, and you are responsible for verifying any result before relying on it, particularly in safety-, security-, or financially-critical work. The app is not a substitute for professional judgment.
No warranty
The app and site are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that any result is correct for your particular use.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app or site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
The website & feedback form
The feedback form on this site is provided for legitimate questions, bug reports, and feature requests. You agree to provide accurate contact information and not to submit unlawful, abusive, or deceptive content, or to use the form to send spam. We may rate-limit or decline submissions to protect the service. Your use of the form is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The app, the site, and the “Bit Alchemist” name, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.
Apple App Store terms
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; any claim relating to the app is between you and us, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version; continued use of the app or site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
